why do teachers tell u to go do some homework...and they have not taught u it huh???

There could be several.

1. Some teachers want you to read ahead BEFORE they talk about a subject so that you will be prepared early.
2. Some teachers forget they haven't covered the material.
3. Some teachers don't intend to cover the material and your homework will be the only exposure you will get to that material.
4. Probably a few bad apples just want to be ornery.
5. and a host of others.
