Osmotic Pressure.. If the height of the column is 6 cm what is the osmotic pressure of the sugar solution in g/cm2 Assume the density of the solution is 1.01 g/ml.. Beaker of water with beaker of sugar solutution with semi permeable membrane

    Wouldn't the osmotic pressure equal the weight of the column of sugar solution/area?

    6cm*density*g=osmotic pressure.

    Now watch units. I would shift to SI units, meters, density in kg/m^3, and g in 9.8N/kg
