A glacier moves about 12 inches every 36 hours. About how far does the glacier move in 1 week?

movement= (12in*1wk*7 days/wk*24hrs/day)/36hrs

Can you explain how you work the problem?
I know its a proportion but I don't get it?
12/36 = x/168
Cross multiply and solve for x.
