f(x)= x2 (2=squared, how to graph this?
how to solve this?
f(x)= 3x3
g(x)= 2x5
f(4)=?
f(5)=?
g(3)=?
g(4)=?

make a table of values for x and y
(f(x) is really y,
f(x) = x^2 is the same as y = x^2
x y
0 0
1 1
2 4
3 9
1 1
2 4
3 9
graph these points, they should give you a good outline of the curve.
for something like
f(x) = 3x 3
then f(4) = 3(4)3 = 9
wherever I saw an x, I subbed in a 4
you can now do the rest
