fragmentation

fragmenation. From what I read, this is what i understood.

Fragmentation is the process of seeing a whole in parts and each part represents something symbolic?

For example, in The love of J. Alfred's Prufrock, Prufrock fragments the population into people into satisfied and unsatified groups. He also fragments body parts.

If you are supposed to be commenting on the use of fragmentation in the poem "The Love Song of J. Alfred Prufrock", you may find this essay helpful. I think you are quite a bit "off track" with your interpretation.
