A recipe calls for 2/3 cups of green peppers. What would it be if you wanted to make half of the recipe?

Half of 2 is 1. So you'd need 1/3 cup of green peppers.
You can also solve this problem this way:
1/2 * 2/3 = 2/6 = 1/3
