DETERMINE SO THAT 5X+KY=8 WILL PASS THROUGH (4,3)

    I assume we are to find out what k must be so that the straight line
    5 x + k y = 8
    goes through x=4 and y=3
    To do that put 4 in for x and 3 in for y
    5(4) + k(3) = 8
    solve that for k
