I am having some problems trying to figure this out.

Series circuits
I have a "d" battery, a battery holder, 3 different resistors, and a multimeter.
How do I put the resistors into a series cicuit? And when I use the multimeter, does it need to be set on ohms or volts?

Also, how do I do parallel cicuits using what I just listed?
