  1. LCM(48,60) = 240
    so, they meet again in 480 seconds, or 8 minutes.

  6. The way he got the answer was to find the least common multiple for 48 seconds and 60 seconds which is 240 seconds then multiply 240 seconds x 2 because there are 2 boys (runners) which equals 480 seconds ÷ 60 sec (1 min) which is 8 mins. Hope this helps.
