However, I would use the information to create a "story". Think in terms of something that would appeal to a child.
Why did the first "person" need to tame the dog? Did he need a companion on a journey? a helper to complete a task? a protector?
Use the facts that you find to tell how and what the dog was like...but use your imagination to build the story.
