how do Huck and Jim feel about the sanctuary of the raft and how do they feel about the violence and shame of the shore? I have to make a collage on this and I don't really know what to put. I was thinking of drawing a river and in the inside of the river would be a drawing of a raft surrounded by words describing how they feel and on the left and right "shore" parts of the picture outside the river would be words describing how they feel about the shore... How does this sound and what type of words should I use?

Use words from the book.

Remember that a collage is made up of many different pictures.

Instead of drawing the river, I suggest you use many different images. Google Images is a good source.

See what you can do with making a collage of some of these images.

Creating a collage to represent the contrasting feelings of Huck and Jim towards the sanctuary of the raft and the violence and shame of the shore is a fantastic idea! Here are some suggestions for words you can include in your collage:

For the sanctuary of the raft:
- Freedom
- Solitude
- Escape
- Security
- Peacefulness
- Companionship
- Tranquility
- Liberation

For the violence and shame of the shore:
- Oppression
- Fear
- Conformity
- Racism
- Judgement
- Cruelty
- Hostility
- Injustice

Your idea of drawing a river with the raft in the center surrounded by words for the sanctuary and the shore on opposite sides is a great way to visually depict the contrasting emotions. Consider adding illustrations or symbols that represent these contrasting feelings as well, such as chains and bars to symbolize oppression or a sunrise to represent liberation.

Remember, the purpose of your collage is to communicate the emotions and perspectives of Huck and Jim. Be thoughtful in your choices and make sure to reflect the narrative of Mark Twain's "Adventures of Huckleberry Finn" accurately. Good luck with your project!
