I READ THAT DEFINITION BUT I DON'T UNDERSTAND IT THE ONE IN WIKIPEDIA AND I'VE DONE DIFFERENT DICTIONARIES AS WELL.

The easiest definition I found is that chakras are the "energy centers of the body where body and spirit most strongly connect."

This site has this and other definitions.

Thank you for your help the way that i read it in dictionaries even in the dictionary ecarta didn't make sence at all. This class of religion that i 'm taking is very difficult when dealing with different types of religions.

I understand that studying different religions can be challenging, especially when it comes to understanding specific terms. Let me explain the term "chakras" to you.

Chakras are energy centers within the body that originate from Hinduism and are also present in other spiritual traditions like Buddhism and Yoga. The word "chakra" comes from Sanskrit and translates to "wheel" or "disk." It refers to the seven major energy centers along the central channel of the body.

According to Hindu philosophy, these seven chakras are located from the base of the spine to the crown of the head. Each chakra is associated with a different aspect of our physical, emotional, and spiritual well-being. They are believed to be connected to the flow of life force energy, often referred to as prana or chi.

The chakras are represented as spinning wheels or vortices of energy, and they are associated with specific colors, elements, and qualities. When these energy centers are balanced and open, it is believed to promote health, harmony, and spiritual growth. However, when there are blockages or imbalances in the chakras, it can manifest as physical or emotional issues.

To understand this concept further, I recommend reading more about chakras from reliable sources. You can refer to the Wikipedia page on chakras (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chakra) or do a Google search using the link provided (http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&lr=&ie=UTF-8&safe=off&defl=en&q=define:CHAKRA&sa=X&oi=glossary_definition&ct=title). These resources should provide you with a comprehensive understanding of chakras and their significance in Hinduism and other spiritual practices.

I hope this explanation clarifies the term for you. If you have any further questions, feel free to ask.
