term6 = (6^3 + 23(6) - 8)/2 = 173
term7 = (7^3+23(7)-8)/2 = 248
interesting fact:
we can also find the next few terms by simply completing the next row in the above chart
we know the 4th column is a 3
so the number below 12 must be 15, enter it
the number below 42 must be 42+15 or 57
the number below 116 must be 116+57 = 173
etc
