ok this your supposed to use the quadratic formula i think...

ok a tunnel is 4 m wide and 4 m high.

and a truck is 2 m wide and has to drive through it (Through the middle). what is the maximum height that the truck can be?

if your can help PLEASE do!! even give a hint :P

I presume what they're asking is if you have a tunnel that is a parabola.
If that is right, then you can write the equation of the tunnel, and then you can find the maximal height of the truck. Do you think this is the problem?

how do i solve using subsittution and elimination method

i have no idea how to do equation sinvolving fractions and htey involve a lot of steps. What do i ned to do?
