1. When an object is dropped, the velocity starts at zero and increases continuously until the object strikes the ground.

Neglecting wind resistance, the final
velocity is:
V^2 = Vo + 2g*h.
Vo = 0 = Initial velocity.
g = 9.8 m/s^2.
h = Ht. above gnd.
The ht. is the only parameter that is missing.
