6th Grade Math: Proportions

14/38=X/29. I'm still confused about figuring out what x is and getting X on its own. Please Help!!!

  1. To solve a proportion, cross multiply and solve for x.


    38x = 14 * 29

    38x = 406

    x = 406/38

    x = 10.68421

  2. Hi! The answer is 10.68 when you round to the nearest hundredth but I'm not sure what the exact answer is. I hope this helps.
