What are charateristic of a ionic bond and a chemical bond?

An ionic bond is a type of chemical bond that involves gain or loss of valence (outer shell) electrons in order to attain stability.

That is not what I am looking for but thanks anyway

An ionic bond IS a chemical bond. Ionic bonds are formed when an element, usually a metal, loses electrons to another element, usually a non-metal. The metal then carries a positive charge and the non-metal carries a negative charge. The ionic bond is the attraction of the positive and negative ions for each other. Most compounds that are formed of ionic bonds have high melting and boiling points, most are solids at room temperature, they will conduct electricity when melted or when in solution, they are extremely polar, and most are soluble in water but not soluble in non-polar solvents.

So you explained what happened and this means that they form ions right

Yes, they form ions. I don't understand the part of your question that deals with "chemical bond"; i.e., I don't know how to differentiate between an ionic bond and a "chemical bond." Perhaps you can clarify that part if the above answer isn't what you are looking for.

That was a mistake sorry and my friedn Pretty in Pink. Hers wasa mistake also but we thank you very much
