  2. trig identities are like in a different language for me. can I please get at least 1 step to get started. I looked at all the sites about it but if I don't understand what im looking at it does no good, I know how to read I just don't get it.

  3. Notation: sin(theta) = s; cos(theta) = c.

    Then tan(theta) = s/c and
    sec(theta) = 1/c

    We can write:

    s/c - 1/(cs) = (s^2 - 1)/(cs) = -c/s = Answer A
