  1. Taking a helium filled balloon from a warm house to a cold temperature outside will decrease the pressure inside the balloon and it will appear to be losing its gas. This will not be a phase change for it was a gas inside the house and it still is a gas outside on a snowy day. It must get REALLY REALLY cold for helium to change from a gas phase to a liquid phase.
