as i need to perform a project on " chemical reactions on metals " could you please suggest me some useful material along with an experiment to perform

An easy one might be to obtain a list of metals (Zn, Cu, Fe, Al, Hg, Ag, Au, etc) and simply observe the rate of reaction with HCl.

A second one takes longer but you could arrange the metals in an "activity series." I've seen this done in labs at the freshman level.
Obtain five or six of the above metals(Ag and Au can be omitted if those are difficult to obtain) as well as solutions of the metal salt; i.e., you would have Zn and Zn(NO3)2, Al and Al(NO3)3, Cu and Cu(NO3)2 etc. Then place the solutions in test tubes, place them in a test tube rack, and dip each metal into each of the solutions. All of this takes some time but you should be able to see which metals will plate out another metal when metal 1 is placed in a solution metal 2. You should be able to make an activity series table similar to this one.
