Find the value fir each expression. Show your work.

(13.28 - 7.8) divided by 4.

I have the answer in the back of my book and when I try to work the problem out I keep getting the wrong answer. The answer is supposed to be 1.345 I can get the 1.34 but I get a remainder if 2. Can you please help and show work?

Did I firget to mention... I REALLY NEED HELP?????????

Both your and their answer is wrong

(13.28 - 7.8) /4
= 5.48/4
= 1.37

Round 7 to the nea

rest tenth

Of course! I'll help you step by step to find the value of the expression (13.28 - 7.8) divided by 4.

Step 1: Subtract 7.8 from 13.28:
13.28 - 7.8 = 5.48

Step 2: Divide the result from step 1 by 4:
5.48 ÷ 4 = 1.37

Now, the answer you have in the back of your book is 1.345, so let's check if it's correct.

Step 3: Multiply 1.37 by 4:
1.37 × 4 = 5.48

As you can see, we obtained the same value we started with, 5.48.

The discrepancy between your answer and the one in the book might be due to rounding. When rounding to two decimal places, the remainder of 2 would round up to 3. So, if you round 1.37 to two decimal places, you would get 1.37, not 1.34.

Therefore, the correct answer, rounded to two decimal places, is indeed 1.37. However, if you need to match the book's answer exactly, make sure to check their rounding rules or if they explicitly state to round to three decimal places in this case.

I hope this explanation helps! Let me know if you have any further questions.
