What is the series (the Pattern) of this sequence?

{1,5,1,5,1,5,1,5.......}

  1. That is a sequence, not a series.
    A sequence is an ordered list of terms.
    A series is a sum of terms, which may be terms in a sequence.
    so
    1,5,1,5,1,5..... is a sequence
    but
    1+5+1+5+1+5..... would be a series

    the pattern of your sequence could be said to be alternating 1 and 5
