im doing a social studies fair and my topic is pearl harbor i need to know how this topic involes conflict and compromise?

  1. The conflict is obvious; the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor destroyed much of our fleet, killed many of our Naval personnel, and led us to declare war on Japan and Germany. The compromise isn't as easy. It could be considered a compromise because the Japanese only destroyed a military target to prevent the U.S. from interfering with their expansion plans in the western Pacific.
