Im just wondering, why isnt it an elective?
Most educators consider physical education a vital part of everyone's education. It not only teaches rules of games, but more importantly, hopes to instill lifetime habits of exercise.
P.E. is a time to achieve physical activity. To obtain a healthy living style you should exercise for 60 min a day. Most kids/teenagers would probably not chose to do that therefore schools decided to include that needed exercise in the kids' school time.
To answer the question of why something isn't an elective, we need to understand the context. An elective refers to a course or subject that is optional and chosen by students, rather than being required as part of a curriculum. There can be various reasons why something isn't offered as an elective:
1. Core Curriculum: Some subjects or courses are considered essential for a well-rounded education and are included as part of the core curriculum.
