Hi

i posted a part of my essay this morning and your comments really helped but i guess i forgot to you the guidelines of the essay.

the colleges give three questions to answers and i'm suposed to anwer them all in only 1000 words all together, not each.

so even if i wanted extend and add more detail to my paragraph that means i would have delete some stuff of my other answers.

hope this helps.

You're right -- you'll need to delete some parts. Choose the element(s) that will really make you stand out as an admissions candidate (what separates you from others? why should they choose you rather than someone else?), and elaborate on them.

Being very general and covering all bases is quite blah. You need to make them sit up and take notice of you!!

=)

Hi! It's great to hear that my comments on your essay helped you. I understand that you forgot to follow the guidelines of the essay where you have to answer three questions within a total of 1000 words. It can be challenging to fit all your thoughts and ideas into a limited word count.

To address this challenge, it will be necessary to prioritize and carefully choose the elements that will make you stand out as an admissions candidate. Think about what sets you apart from others and why the colleges should choose you over other applicants. These elements could be unique experiences, achievements, or personal qualities that showcase your strengths.

Rather than being too general and trying to cover all the bases, focus on elaborating on these standout elements. Make sure to highlight them and provide compelling examples and details. This will help make your essay more engaging and memorable for the admissions officers.

Remember, the goal is to make them sit up and take notice of you! By selecting and expanding on the key elements that make you a strong candidate, you can make a lasting impression. Good luck with your essay!
