can you solve this set of equations using the elimination method?
3x+4y=34 and 3x+2y=26

asked by Shirley
  1. 3x+4y=34
    3x+2y=26

    (1)3X+4Y=34
    (-1)3X+2Y=26

    3X+4Y=34
    -3X+(-2Y)=-26
    6Y=60
    Y=10

    3X+2(10)=26
    3X+20=26
    3X=26-20
    3X=6
    X=2
