  1. the cosine is positive in quadrants I and IV
    so cos 58° = cos(360-58)°
    = cos 302°

    test with your calculator

    cos 58 = cos(360-58)
    = cos 302
    The angle that has the same cosine as angle 58 is 302. You can check this using your calculator.
    cos(58) = 0.5299192642
    cos(302) = 0.5299192642
