The combustion of petrol in a car engine releases about as much energy per gramme of fuel as the repiration of sugar in cells. Try to explain, in outline, the fundamental differences between the processes

I am taking Biolagy right now and i am having a hard time to. If you learn anything new please let me know.

the rate of oxadizeation in cells is much slower, controlled by the mitochondria through the release of enzymes.
