    recall that domain is the set of all possible values of x,, here there is no restriction for x thus
    the domain is all real numbers.
    recall that range is the set of all possible values of y,, here note that y cannot be negative since the term 3^x is always positive and y will only approach a very small positive number (if x approaches a very large negative number) but NEVER equal to zero, thus
    the range is greater than zero or in symbols,
    (0, (+)infinity)
