i balanced it & got: 2NaHCO3(s)+ heat -->Na2CO3(s)+ H2O(g)+CO2(g) is this right ?
Determine how many moles of CO2(g) is
produced when 7mols of NaHCO3 are consumed. how do i do this ?

1. The equation looks balanced to me. Your question. Use the coefficients to make conversions from moles of one material to moles of another material. For example, 2 moles NaHCO2 will produce 1 mole CO2, 1 mole H2O, and 1 mole Na2CO3. How many mols NaHCO3 will it take to produce 10 moles CO2. 10 moles CO2 x (2 moles NaHCO3/1 mole CO2) = 20 moles NaHCO3. Note how the unit CO2 cancels and leaves the unit NaHCO3 which you want to keep.
