What factors affect the period of a pendulum?

  1. The period of a simple pendulum with small amplitudes is given by:
    T=2πsqrt(L/g)
    So under those conditions, the period is independent of the mass and the initial amplitude, as long as the latter is small.
    So the only factor is the length, L.
