  1. isn't the height equal to 3 diameters?

    volume = π(r^2)(h)

    Tennis balls used to be sold in metal cans to hold exactly 3 tennis balls.
    I used to hold up the can and challenge my students to tell me with only mental calculations which was greater,
    the height of the can or the circumference of the can?
