how do i use the distributive property???

asked by Thomas
  1. you multiply the term to each term inside the parenthesis and then combine them,, for example,
    3(x+2y+2)
    multiply 3 to each term:
    3*x + 3*(2y) + 3*2
    3x + 6y + 6

    hope this helps. :)
