  1. 5.00% acetic acid by mass means 5.00 g acetic acid/100 g solution.
    The 100 g soln can be converted to mL by using the density.
    mass = volume x density and
    v= m/d = 100/1.02 = 98.04 mL.
    5 g x (50 mL/98.04 mL) = g acetic acid in 50 mL.
