Let me explain the difference between HELP and DO. You are asking us to DO the work for you. Follow my model for #1 or what you did first of all, as it was correct.

THEN we HELP, after you DO what you can!

(In other words, no attempt on your part, no help on my part!)

Sure! I can help you answer these questions even if you haven't received your book yet. To answer these questions, you need to know the context of the question and the verb "ser" (to be) conjugated in the third person singular or plural form.

To answer the questions:

1. la profesora Guzmán / España
To determine where the professor Guzman is from, we use the question "¿De dónde es la profesora Guzmán?" which translates to "Where is Professor Guzmán from?" Since we are referring to a third-person singular subject (la profesora Guzmán), we use the verb "es." So the answer is: "Ella es de España."

2. usted / Texas
To find out where "usted" (you) are from, we use the question "¿De dónde eres?" which translates to "Where are you from?" Since "usted" is a formal way of addressing someone, we use the third-person singular form of the verb "ser" which is "es." So the answer is: "Usted es de Texas."

3. tú / Arizona
To determine where "tú" (you) are from, we use the question "¿De dónde eres?" which translates to "Where are you from?" Since "tú" is an informal way of addressing someone, we use the second-person singular form of the verb "ser" which is "eres." So the answer is: "Tú eres de Arizona."

4. ellas / Chicago
To find out where "ellas" (they) are from, we use the question "¿De dónde son?" which translates to "Where are they from?" Since "ellas" refers to a group of females, we use the third-person plural form of the verb "ser" which is "son." So the answer is: "Ellas son de Chicago."

Remember that in Spanish, the verb "ser" is used to express origin or nationality. I hope this helps you answer the questions!
