  1. Please use ^ before exponents. The maxima and minima are where f'(x) = 0. You are going to have to solve the resulting equation yourself. If f(x) really has a -10x^5 at the end, that is going to be messy because you will have a fourth order polynomial to solve. The sign of f''(x) where the f'(x) zeroes occur tells you whether the function is a minimum or a maximum there.
