Pick a country of your choice that is experiencing population growth. Using the Library, web resources, and/or other materials to find the most recent population count of the country you have chosen and the population growth rate of that country. Use that growth rate to approximate the population in the year 2015.

The country that I decided to use is Mexico just by the simple fact there is 20 millions of Habitants in Mexico City itself, so I got a curiosity to just find out about there population. Mexico is the eleventh most populated country in the world, estimated on July 1, 2009. The population number is 107,550,697 (1.58%) of the world population.

F(x) =107,550,697 (1.58)^1
F(x)= 107,550,697 (1.0158)
F(x)= 109,249,998 population in 2010

i need help with year, 2011,2012,2013,2014,2015

You misread your data.

It says that the population is 1.58 % of the world's population.
Your read it as , "it's population is growing at 1.58%"

So some research as to the rate of growth of the population.
suppose it was 2.3% in 2010

then the population equation would be
P(t) = 107550697(1.023)^t , where t is the number of years since 2009

so for 2010, t=1
for 2012 , t = 3 etc

1) Solve algebraically. Trial and error is not an appropriate method of solution. You must show all your work.

Learn how to type math roots and fractions by clicking on the link in the assignment list. Alternately, you may type as cuberoot(x) and show raising to the nth power as ^n, like x 3 is typed x^3.

c) Use MS Excel or another web-based graphing utility to graph the function by plotting the points found in the table in part b. Read the information in the assignments list to learn more about how to graph in MS Excel.

6) The formula for calculating the amount of money returned for an initial deposit into a bank account or CD (certificate of deposit) is given by

A is the amount of the return.
P is the principal amount initially deposited.
r is the annual interest rate (expressed as a decimal).
n is the number of compound periods in one year.
t is the number of years.

Carry all calculations to six decimals on each intermediate step, then round the final answer to the nearest cent.

Suppose you deposit $4,000 for 8 years at a rate of 7%.

a) Calculate the return (A) if the bank compounds annually (n = 1). Round your answer to the hundredth's place.

To estimate the population of Mexico for the years 2011 to 2015 based on the given growth rate, you can use the following formula:

F(x) = F(0) * (1 + r)^x

Where:
- F(x) represents the estimated population in the year x
- F(0) represents the initial population count (which is 107,550,697 in this case)
- r is the growth rate (which is given as 1.58% or 0.0158)
- x is the number of years from the initial year (2010) to the desired year

Using this formula, you can calculate the population estimate for each year:

For 2011:
F(1) = 107,550,697 * (1 + 0.0158)^1
F(1) ≈ 109,422,255

For 2012:
F(2) = 107,550,697 * (1 + 0.0158)^2
F(2) ≈ 111,346,126

For 2013:
F(3) = 107,550,697 * (1 + 0.0158)^3
F(3) ≈ 113,324,157

For 2014:
F(4) = 107,550,697 * (1 + 0.0158)^4
F(4) ≈ 115,358,226

For 2015:
F(5) = 107,550,697 * (1 + 0.0158)^5
F(5) ≈ 117,450,386

So, the estimated population of Mexico would be approximately:
- 109,422,255 in 2011
- 111,346,126 in 2012
- 113,324,157 in 2013
- 115,358,226 in 2014
- 117,450,386 in 2015
