King Tutankhamun's father was Pharaoh Akhenaten, also known as Amenhotep IV. His tomb, known as KV62, was discovered in the Valley of the Kings in 1922 by British archaeologist Howard Carter. The tomb is located on the west bank of the Nile River in Luxor, Egypt.
