A and B these 2 companies are fixing a road,A fixes 62% of the road,which is 360 meters more than B fixed.How long is this road?

Let X be the road length.
a is fixed by company A.
b is fixed by company B.
a + b = x
a - b = 360
a = 0.62 x

2a = x + 360 (from adding the first two equations)
1.24 x = x + 360
0.24 x - 360
x = 360/0.24 = 1500 m
