Thank you for using the Jiskha Homework Help. Please look for anything (within parentheses) after an error to explain it.

Can you please help me with the grammar, spelling, and sentence structure of the following Spanish sentences? I need to know if I wrote them correctly. Thanks.

1) El embajador soviético está dando vuelta al azul.

2) Mire, yo (could you mean "ya?" Because if it is "yo" the verb must be estoy) están bailando encima de la catedral con un pato inusual.

3) La gente está mirando fijamente mi iglú. (choza de hielo?)

4) ¿Dónde usted(bad word order; delete usted) encontró (word order for question is put "usted" here, after the verb)esa marmota?

5) ¿Cómo la cebolla manejó (again, word order for question, if "cebolla" is the subject, it goes after the verb) a (la = to the company? Very strange squestion!) compañía?

6) ¿Cuándo el toro puso (again, "el toro" after the verb) en (I doubt that "put in" makes sense, so delete "en") (If you mean "put the hat on" = se puso) ese sombrero?

7) He frito el pollo en mis pantalones.

8) ¿Usted llevará(Capatilize "Llevará + usted) estos crumpets(voc = bollo grande or mollete) el embarcadero(If you don't supply the English of what you are trying to say, I have no idea how to correct this one1) para mí y (+ se) los dará a(l) capitán Fartfrakis?

9) ¿Cuanto(AA = Cuánto) tiempo será antes de que la luna pare el reírse de nosotros?

10) El hombre gordo está consumiendo cantidades totales de keroseno.

NOTE: Please make all the corrections and feel free to repost for final proofreading. With #8, "el embarquedero" makes no sense as it is!

Sra

Ok, thanks Sra! I'll work on it. In #8, it's supposed to say: "Will you take the crumpted to the wharf and give them to Captain Fartfrakis?"

Thanks for getting back to us. Ok on #8, it should be then ;¿Llevará usted estos molletes AL embarcadero y dárselos al capitán Fartfrakis?

Thank you!
