My topic is ***** Should Teachers Have the Authority to Remove Disruptive Students from Their Classes Permanently? ****

Paper should be 1,750-2,100 words long

What are some good ideas to put in my paper?

This is what I have but I don’t know if these are good ideas.

any ideas or suggestions?

  1. All of your ideas are good -- but they don't address the main question.

    You need to consider whether one person (the teacher) should have the right to permanently remove a student from class.

    Also -- state and local laws generally state that only a committee, administrator, or the school board can permanently expel a student from a class or from all classes.

    The law states that students have a right to a free and public education. If a teacher had the authority to remove a student permanently from class, this would violate the student's rights.

  4. I think yes and no. yes a teacher should remove a student if their being disruptive. maybe give them a warning if they dontlisten send them out. i think the only way to remove a student permantley is if keeps going and going.

  5. Since this is a persuasive paper, you must take just one side of this question. The key word is "permanently." Should one teacher have the right to remove the student permanently from the class?

    A persuasive essay is supposed to focus on only one side of the question. Your goal is to get others to agree with your position.

    Your final project for AED 200 will be to write an Educational Debate Persuasive Paper on a current educational debate.The paper will be your argument to persuade readers that your position on the debate is correct. Your paper will also need to address the opposing viewpoint and provide arguments against this view. For the final project you will need to include at least 3 reliable resources that support your thesis. Your paper should be 1,750-2,100 words long and follow APA guidelines.

  9. When you address opposing viewpoints, you choose the strongest one or two and state what they are and why they are wrong (in your opinion).

    The focus (majority) of your paper needs to be about the position you're taking.
