Just wanted someone to check and see if I have these correct. I am suppose to correct the dangling modifers.

1. Flying over the oak tree, the farmer saw the flock of birds that had damaged his crops.

MY ANSWER: The farmer saw the flock of birds that had damaged his crops flying over the oak tree.

2. Ironing out all the wrinkled, the pants looked much more presentable.

MY ANSWER: The pants looked much more presentable when all the wrinkles were ironed out.

3. The police chief posted the mandate against the hubcap theft on Monday afternoon.

MY ANSWER: IT'S CORRECT. NO CHANGE

4. Until the beef has been rubbed with garlic, do not put it into the skillet.

MY ANSWER: DO not put the beef in the skillet, until it had been rubbed with garlic oil.

5. He found his glasses crawling under the couch.

MY ANSWER: He found his glasses while crawling under the couch.

Now it sounds as if his crops ere flying over the oak tree! How about this ~~> As the flock of birds was flying over the oak tree, the farmer saw that they had damaged his crops.

2. Ironing out all the wrinkled, the pants looked much more presentable.

MY ANSWER: The pants looked much more presentable when all the wrinkles were ironed out.
Good.

3. The police chief posted the mandate against the hubcap theft on Monday afternoon.

MY ANSWER: IT'S CORRECT. NO CHANGE
It's OK if you mean that the hubcap theft took place on Monday afternoon, but if you mean that he posted the mandate on Monday, you'll need to do some rephrasing.

4. Until the beef has been rubbed with garlic, do not put it into the skillet.

MY ANSWER: DO not put the beef in the skillet, until it had been rubbed with garlic oil.
Good; just delete the comma after "skillet."

5. He found his glasses crawling under the couch.

MY ANSWER: He found his glasses while crawling under the couch.
It sounds as if the glasses were crawling under the couch! Try adding "he was" after "while."
