5.9.1 - Test: Transformations Unit Test Part 1

Can anybody help me?????

I much prefer the 2nd one.

did you try actually reflecting each vertex across the y-axis?
If so, you can easily see that (x,y)→(-x,y)
so just change the sign of the x-coordinate for each point.
So, knowing that (4,1)→(-4,1)
that leaves only B as a choice.

This is 15 questions I would appreciate ANY help I can get class ends in 12 days.

If point P left parenthesis 4 comma 11 right parenthesis is reflected across the line y = 3, what are the coordinates of its reflection image?

A. left parenthesis 2 comma 11 right parenthesis
B. left parenthesis 11 comma 4 right parenthesis
C. left parenthesis 4 comma negative 11 right parenthesis
D. left parenthesis 4 comma negative 5 right parenthesis

The vertices of a triangle are P(4, 1), Q(2, –8), and R(–8, 1). What are the vertices of the image reflected across the y-axis?

A. P'(4, –1), Q'(2, 8), and R'(–8, –1)
B. P'(–4, 1), Q'(–2, –8), and R'(8, 1)
C. P'(–4, –1), Q'(–2, 8), and R'(8, –1)
D. P'(4, 1), Q'(2, –8), and R'(–8, 1)

If point P left parenthesis 4 comma 11 right parenthesis is reflected across the line y = 3, what are the coordinates of its reflection image?

A. left parenthesis 2 comma 11 right parenthesis
B. left parenthesis 11 comma 4 right parenthesis
C. left parenthesis 4 comma negative 11 right parenthesis
D. left parenthesis 4 comma negative 5 right parenthesis
Can you help with this one?
It would be C right??

Of course, I'm here to help you! Please let me know what specific question or concept you need assistance with regarding the "Transformations" unit test part 1.

so, if you start posting questions now, you have plenty of time.

I assume you have some idea on how to solve at least some of them ...
