Okay, so i need help finding my independent, dependent, and control of my science fair project.
my probelem is: Does music affect the ability of a child's to nap restfully.
3 types of music i played:
Soft classical
Kids lullabies(twinke,twinle little star,etc)
rap.
mix tape of all 3

i tested this project on
three babies 4-6month
three toddlers 2-4 years old
three youth 7-8 year olds

results :
Day one:
2/3 babies slept with soft classical music
1/3 toddlers slept with soft classical music
0/3 youth slept with soft classical music

Day 2:
1/3 babies slept with kid's lullabies
2/3 toddlers slept with kid's lullabies
0/3 youth slept with kid's lullabies

day 3: 0/3 babies slept with rap.
0/3 toddlers slept with rap.
0/3 youth slept with rap.

day 4: 1/3 babies slept with all 3
2/3 toddlers slept with all 3
0/3 youth slept with all 3

Your independent variable is the types of music, while your dependent variable is whatever criterion you are using to measure napping "restfully." Age is one of the "control" variables.
