my English teacher wants us to write a letter to a director but the instructions don't really make sense. instructions were:

You are to type a formal letter to the playwrights Eva di Cesare, Sandra Eldridge and Tim McGarry as a director wanting to produce a new performance of the play, Hitler’s Daughter.
Your letter will explain how production elements in a key scene will be amended in order to emphasise a key theme or ‘big idea’ in the play. Choose from Scenes 1, 3, 5, 6, 9, or 16.
In your response you will need to mention at least two of the production elements listed below:
Type of Stage
Set
Props
Lighting
Sound
Costumes
You must justify your choice of both the key scene and the production elements. How do the production elements contribute to the exploration of the theme?

the play is hitlers daughter, if someone could explain these instructions it would be greatly appreciated.

1. Type a formal letter to the playwrights Eva di Cesare, Sandra Eldridge and Tim McGarry as a director wanting to produce a new performance of the play, Hitler’s Daughter.

2. Your letter will explain how production elements in a key scene will be amended in order to emphasise a key theme or ‘big idea’ in the play.

3. Choose ONE from Scenes 1, 3, 5, 6, 9, or 16.

4. In your response you will need to mention at least two of the production elements listed below:
Type of Stage
Set
Props
Lighting
Sound
Costumes

5. You must justify your choice of both the key scene and the production elements. How do the production elements contribute to the exploration of the theme? ("justify" = prove that you are right in your choices)

And don't forget this part of the assignment: " … in order to emphasise a key theme or ‘big idea’ in the play."

Be sure to have a key theme clearly in your mind as you address the other parts of your letter.
