What is the area and circumference of a circle with a radius of 3in.
Area = pi * radius squared
A = pi*r^2
A = 3.14 * 9
A = 28.26 square inches
im the first comment in years O_O
Like I said with awl, I found the circumference forumla, which is:
c = pi times diameter
OR
c = 2 times pi times radius
I can't find the area formula. :(
Just place in 3 where I said "radius."
Hope I helped! :)
To find the area and circumference of a circle with a given radius, we can use the formulas:
Area of a circle = π * radius^2
Circumference of a circle = 2 * π * radius
In this case, the radius is given as 3 inches.
To find the area, we substitute the radius into the formula:
Area of a circle = π * 3^2
Simplifying, we have:
Area of a circle = 9π square inches
The area of the circle is 9π square inches.
To find the circumference, we substitute the radius into the formula:
Circumference of a circle = 2 * π * 3
Simplifying, we have:
Circumference of a circle = 6π inches
The circumference of the circle is 6π inches.
