    9. The point of view they use is 3rd person. 3rd person view is great for a story if you want the reader to know if something else is happening that's not around the main character. They also use descriptive detail, like "the fresh air of the beautiful spring day."

    10. Well, you see the author use the metaphor "His stomach was full of butterflies." You also see the transition from sweating and nervous to brave. You see the detail of other people talking about "How steep the drop was" and about how he "shakily stepped onto the ride."

    11. Being a busy high school student, Emma doesn't have very much free time. She remembers when she was a little girl, she loved to color. Her swim practice was canceled on day, so she decided to grab her colored pencils and her little sister's coloring book and get to work. She sat down and began to fill in the blank shapes with beautiful pastels. She later heard her mother call her for dinner. Emma loved spending the day doing something so peaceful.

    12. After all that, Julie looks back on the kindness of Mr.Radcliffe, thinking about the new friendship she has made, as well as seeing a new side of people who may seem rude.

    It creates an alliteration because all three of the first words in the sentence begin with D and the second letters of them are both vowels.

    14. It can help a reader understand a character better through context clues. It can also show what the situation is. It can help the reader to connect to the story as well. Finally, it can help the reader understand the feeling of those who are in the story.
