After watching Luvvie Ajayi’s Ted Talk, I was reminded of the past Ted Talks that we’ve watched.I think the messages of those ted talks are all the same, that everyone has vulnerability and we are all imperfect and we can finally get over our fears and low-self esteem and be stronger once we realize and admit this fact
The domino effect that she mentioned put me in shock as I’ve never thought of it in the way she said. And I thought about if I’ve ever been the first domino or one of the dominos in my life that affected changes. And the answer was no. I’m not a confront person or who likes to join the people speaking the truth against institutions and people with power. If someone who has more power than me like my supervisor or professor is doing the wrong things, I just wish someone who’s braver than me would confront him or her as a coward.
I learned that the people who are always willing to be the first domino also feel scared of doing it but they do it to see the beauty as Ms.Ajayi did while skydiving after falling from the edge of the plane.
I felt blessed by watching her ted talk as it inspired me in many ways and I want to be the first domino someday who can inspire others and make changes in the future.
