GCF of 2 natural numbers is 3 and their LCM is 180 if one of the numbers is 45 then find second number

  1. Number property:
    The product of the two numbers = (GCF)*(LCM)
    So if the 2nd number is x
    45x = 3(180)
    x = 12

    check: 12 and 45
    12 = 2*2*3
    45 = 3*3*5
    So the LCF = 3
    So the LCM = 2*2*3*3*5 = 180
