The stem and leaf plot shows kilometers walked by participants in a charity benefit walk. Use it to answer the question

12|3 3 6 7 9 9
13| 1 1 4 5 5
14| 0 0 2 3 3 8 8 9
15| 2 2 2 2 2 3 5 5 7
16| 4 5 5 9 9
17|3 5

How many people participated in the walk? Exactly 35 people participated in the walk.
How many of the walkers traveled more than 14 kilometers? About 16-22 people traveled more than 14 kilometers.
Please check my answer or at least suggest a source to help me.

OK HERE YOU GO MY BEAUTIFUL CHILDREN!

13. I chose bar graphs because I feel that it would be accurate. And could start it from zero counting by fives one up.

14. We are given high temperature in her city for 7 days in a row.
First day it is 70 degrees.
Second day it is 78 degrees.
Third day it is 85 degrees.
Fourth day it is 73 degrees.
Fifth day it is 65 degrees.
Sixth day it is 78 degrees.
Seventh day it is 89 degrees.
We can make a histogram to show that the temperature doesn't seem quite so consistent.

15. A. 35 participants
B. I counted 22 walkers above 14. Two did exactly 14 so they do not count.

16. A. Deduct the lowest from the highest quantity. So you would do this -12,3+17,5
B. 5,2

I counted 22. walkers above 14. Two did exactly 14 so they do not count.

(a) 35 participants

(b) 22 participants traveled more than 14 km.

Step-by-step explanation:

Given:

(a)

The stem-leaf plot is given as:

12| 3 3 6 7 9 9

13| 1 1 4 5 5

14| 0 0 2 3 3 8 8 9

15| 2 2 2 2 2 3 5 5 7

16| 4 5 5 9 9

17| 3 5

The total number of numbers on the leaf side gives the total number of participants.

So, the number of participants is equal to the total number of elements on the leaf part. The total number of elements on the leaf part is 35.

Therefore, the total number of participants is 35.

(b)

Given:

12| 3 3 6 7 9 9

13| 1 1 4 5 5

14| 0 0 2 3 3 8 8 9

15| 2 2 2 2 2 3 5 5 7

16| 4 5 5 9 9

17| 3 5

One element of the stem part and one part of leaf part is represented as:

12 | 3 means 12.3 km

So, the number of walkers traveling more than 14.0 km is the list of all numbers greater than 14.0 km. Let us write all the numbers which are greater than 14.0 km. The numbers are:

14 | 2 3 3 8 8 9 = 6 participants

15 | 2 2 2 2 2 3 5 5 7 = 9 participants

16 | 4 5 5 9 9 = 5 participants

17 | 3 5 = 2 participants

Therefore, the total number is the sum of all the above which is equal to:

= 6 + 9 + 5 + 2 = 22 participants

Also can someone help me these other two questions?

Describe how to find the range of the data set.
Find the range.

I really want to get it right all i need is for someone to either check my answer or at least suggest a source to help me.

Thank you

Range?

Can sum1 tell me the range UwU

need help

nae nae killua

What is the range?

Plis help me I don't wanna fail pls

5.2 to find the range of a data set you put the data set in order from least greatest then get the least and greatest number and subtract the lower number from the greatest number 17.5 - 12.3 and you get 5.2 please try your best guys

Can somebody tell me all the answer of this math unit test please and the ones that i have to right my own please i have study this so hard i dont get it please give me the answers

OK LET'S DO THIS!!

1. 15.7
2. 12
3. $28
4. B (The one with NOTHING in 16, 17, or 18, and with 2 X's in 22)
5. A (The one where 17-33 is at 21, and 34-50 is at 32, and 51-67 is at 30)
6. 12, 14, 14, 23, 25, 28, 29, 30, 33, 34, 36, 47
7. Brenda's ratings look better than they really are because the graph does not start at zero.
8. It is misleading because both the vertical scale has unequal intervals and does not begin at zero.
9. D ( The one that starts at 2 and ends at 12 and the lines take up 2 spaces and 4 spaces)
10. Week 1
11. 38
12. 15

DO NOT ADVISE USING THESE TO CHEAT!!! But reality is that people are gonna use them to cheat despite what I say.
ALSO! I'll put up my written response in a minute if I'm feeling up to it

I’m stuck

I’m in 6th grade connex OK

i need help on this one,

Note: Remember to show all of the steps that you use to solve the problem. Be sure to use the text box where the question mark (?) first appears to show your mathematical work. You can use the comments field to explain your work. Your teacher will review each step of your response to ensure you receive proper credit for your answer.

Jack has the following scores on exams in his math class.

81, 87, 93, 89, 61, 81

If he wants to make his performance sound as good as possible, which measure should he use—the mean, the median, or the mode of his exam grades when he talks about how he is doing? Explain.

In you response, make sure to:

calculate the mean,
calculate the median, and
calculate the mode of his exam grades
compare and pick the measure that makes his performance sound as good as possible.

its been so long since 2019 and you guys still haven't got the answer or corrected it?? i'm literally fifteen now.

Can someone put the answers for Texas Connections?

I need help for the 17 questions Connex 6th 3.11???

@Brooklyn, Im a boy people don't give out the answers you have to type because, the teacher knows when alot of people have the exact same answer.

I'M CHANGING MY ANSWER FOR NUMBER 14 BECAUSE MY TEACHER SAID IT WAS WRONG DON'T COME AT ME OK?!

14. A line graph is the best way to display the data because it shows change over time. OR a bar graph because it is helpful in comparing amounts. You could start the y-axis numbering with temperature that is higher than 0 degrees, such 50 degrees. You could also use smaller intervals on the y-axis scale. You could count by twos or fives rather than tens.

can someone please tell me the answer to number 12

pls pls pls i dont rly understand the graph

and i didnt even cheat

I need help with he other part that says a. Describe how to fine the range b. Find the range

@Brooklyn, Im a boy I agree XD

yayy nvm i got a 100

No

THIS MAN IS A GOD THIS MAN IS A STRONG WEEB WE SHOULD ALL BOW DOWN TO THIS MAN HE EVEN CALLED ME BEAUTIFUL THIS MAN IS AMAZING.

For those of you at Arkansas Connections, if you copy these answers, I will know. I will also call you so you can explain every step of your answer.

I have videos posted on each lesson and on my Message Board, use them.

Thank you!
